MWUK provides 5-day regional and mountain summit forecasts, weather station observations and synoptic forecast maps for all UK mountain areas, giving you the information you need to plan and assess mountain conditions before you head out.

5-day Regional and Mountain Summit Forecasts
MWUK provides 5-day forecasts for all UK mountain regions and major mountain summits. Forecasts include daily summaries and detailed 3-hourly periods, with key mountain information such as freezing level, high and low level temperatures, wind speed and direction, gusts, visibility and hill cloud, precipitation probability, UV, and mountain hazards. Forecasts are presented as clear daily cards including Headline, Morning and Afternoon weather, Weather Summary, Meteorologist’s View, Hill Walker Advice, Pressure and Fronts (pressure tendency and frontal signals so you can spot rapid changes and incoming weather systems), Temperature at 900m, Low Level Temperature, Max Wind Above 900m, and Visibility and Hill Cloud at 900m. Forecast screens now include weather backgrounds based on the forecast weather type making it easier to interpret at a glance.

Mountain Region Map
Explore all UK mountain regions on an interactive map, displayed as polygon overlays so you can see exactly where each region is. Simply tap a region on the map to jump straight to its forecast.

Weather Station Observations
Analyse hourly observation data from mountain area weather stations with easy-to-read charts. Observation charts include temperature, wind speed, wind gusts, wind direction, visibility, humidity, pressure tendency and surface pressure, so you can see what’s really happening on the ground.

Weather Forecast Maps
View synoptic forecast maps for precipitation/rainfall, cloud cover, temperature and pressure so you can assess weather systems moving through over the next 48 hours before you head out.

Favourites and Recents
Save your favourite Regions, Mountains and Weather Stations for one-tap access, and quickly return to places you have recently viewed using Recents.

Nearest Locations
Automatically find the nearest forecast region and the nearest mountains based on your current location, making it quick to check conditions wherever you are in the UK.
