The purpose of the Foundation is to promote, support, and instill in youth the values of high educational achievement, leadership, and community service. The Foundation provides academic, personal, leadership and social development to young men in the Metro Orlando area through the Young Men of Distinction Mentoring Program (YMOD). The Foundation also provides funding for Academic Scholarships, Head Start to Literacy, Oratorical Competitions, and other educational and community service initiatives. The I.S. Hankins-F.A. Johnson Education Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization that was established in March 1993, by the Orlando Alumni Chapter (Delta Xi Lambda) of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The foundation was named in honor our beloved Brothers Isaiah Sylvester Hankins and Felton A. Johnson.
