NoPressure is now a fidget toy: the bubbles were always the best part, so they became the whole app
NoPressure is now a fidget toy: the bubbles were always the best part, so they became the whole app.
Soft-bodied bubbles that squish, stretch and wobble under your finger. Every one is a real physics simulation, not an animation, so nothing ever moves the same way twice.
- Tap a bubble and a ripple runs round its skin
- Grab it anywhere and it stretches like taffy
- Hold it until it pops in a burst of its own colour
- Tap the dark to make more
- Stir the dark to swirl everything at once
- Hold the dark and they drift toward your finger
- Tilt your phone and they roll with it
Push one hard enough and its skin tears like wet paper, and you can see the dark core underneath. Let go and it works its way back open on its own.
Name a bubble after something that is weighing on you, then pop it when you are ready to let it go. Or don't — nothing here asks anything of you.
There is also a breathing pacer: four seconds in, hold for two, six seconds out, with a gentle tap at each turn. That is five breaths a minute, which is the pace breathing exercises are usually built around. The circle grows until it presses flat against the edges of your screen and fills it completely, then draws back down to almost nothing, and everything else steps out of its way while it runs. Colour drifts around inside it the whole time, and the edge never quite settles.
