Handi-Van Paratransit

FOND DU LAC AREA TRANSIT, in a joint and cooperative effort with the City of Fond du Lac and Fond du Lac County, is proud to offer a truly affordable transportation alternative for residents who are unable to use regular fixed-route transit service. The service is called HANDI-VAN Paratransit, a wheelchair lift-equipped van service.

ELIGIBILITY: Riders must meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit rules or be 65 years of age or older (proof of age via Medicare card or state ID required).

SERVICE AREA: Door-to-door service within the Fond du Lac city limits and the Village of North Fond du Lac.

RESERVATIONS: Advanced reservations are required for each Handi-Van ride and should be made by 3:00 p.m. the business day before your trip. Same-day requests will be accommodated when possible, based on vehicle schedule and capacity. Standing appointments must be renewed or confirmed every two weeks.
