RELIABLE BY DESIGN • Auto-reconnect: serial and TCP connections recover automatically after a cable pull or network drop, with configurable retry interval and timeout • Send queue: data sent while a TCP connection is being established is queued and delivered — the first packet never gets lost • Pause & replay: freeze the receive buffer to inspect a frame; buffered data plays back the moment you resume, nothing dropped • Smart scroll: display stays pinned to the latest data; scroll up freely to read history without interrupting live output SEND WITH CONFIDENCE • Auto-append checksum on every send: CRC-8, CRC-16 (MODBUS, CCITT, IBM), CRC-32, XOR, SUM — one checkbox, zero manual calculation • Modbus Request Builder: fill in the fields, click Send — the framing and CRC are handled for you • 256-entry send history with quick re-send SESSION MANAGEMENT Save your connections, baud rates, and settings to a .spu project file. CLEAN DATA, CLEAN DISPLAY • UTF-8 streaming decoder handles multi-byte characters that arrive split across packets — no mojibake from frame boundaries • ANSI escape sequence stripper keeps firmware log output readable without the color codes • Receive buffer up to 1 MB; configurable display encoding CRC TOOLBOX Calculate checksums interactively before sending — useful for verifying expected values against received frames.
