Ambience - Desktop Moods

Ambience is a Mac menu bar app that displays animated visual effects on your desktop. It lets you add things like falling snow, rain, or a starry night sky directly over your wallpaper.

The animations play in the background, sitting behind your open windows. They completely ignore mouse clicks, so they won't interfere with your regular work. You can change the active effect, adjust the intensity, and set the app to open at login using the icon in your menu bar.

The app currently includes five visual effects (Moods):
• Stillness
• Hush
• Bliss
• Reverie
• Nocturne

Ambience is free to use with the "Stillness" effect. The other four effects (Hush, Bliss, Reverie, and Nocturne) can be unlocked together through a single, one-time in-app purchase. There are no subscriptions.
