Brollr for BlackBox Global

Brollr is a free companion app for BlackBox Global stock footage contributors. Prep your clips on iPhone or iPad and upload them to BlackBox over FTP, with the technical requirements handled for you. AI keywording is an optional paid add-on, and the free prep-and-upload workflow works without it.

FREE TO PREP AND UPLOAD
Preparing clips to BlackBox requirements and getting them onto the portal is free forever. Drop in a clip from your photo library, trim it, and Brollr converts the frame rate, strips the audio, exports at BlackBox-accepted specs, and uploads over TLS.

A PICKER MADE FOR STOCK FOOTAGE
Filter your library by landscape or portrait, hold a clip to play a preview, and swipe across clips to select several at once. Clips that BlackBox will not accept are marked with the reason before you import them, and you can see which clips need to be downloaded from iCloud first.

BUILT FOR BLACKBOX REQUIREMENTS
Brollr re-encodes your clips to BlackBox's spec automatically: supported frame rates from 23.98 to 60 fps with NTSC and integer families handled separately, audio stripped, duration trimmed to 5–59 seconds, size limits enforced, 4K and HD with HDR preserved or converted to SDR. iPhone footage is usually recorded at a variable frame rate, which BlackBox rejects. Brollr converts it to a constant supported frame rate, so your iPhone clips pass review.

SLOW MOTION, DONE RIGHT
Shot at 60 or 59.94 fps and want to deliver slow motion? Brollr knows which slow-down rates are valid for your source (NTSC stays with NTSC, integer stays with integer) and offers only the ones that keep every frame. The result is true native slow motion that BlackBox will accept.

BATCH UPLOAD VIA FTP
Connect once with your BlackBox FTP credentials and upload the whole batch to portal.blackbox.global over TLS. Tap Upload and set the device down.

OPTIONAL: AI KEYWORDING
Titles, descriptions, and keywords are the most tedious part of contributing. Brollr has an optional AI that watches your clip and generates a title, a description, keywords, and a filename in seconds. You get 5 free credits every month, and a subscription adds more volume. The free prep-and-upload workflow works without it.
