SafeCam Pro

SafeCam Pro is a protected webcam layer for video calls.

It helps protect your camera output when you step away, leave the frame, close or tilt your laptop, when another person enters the frame, or when the view becomes unsafe.

Set yourself as the trusted person, then choose SafeCam Pro as the camera in your video app. When the trusted person is visible, the normal camera view remains available. If another person enters the frame, SafeCam Pro can protect that unexpected face while keeping the trusted person visible.

If the trusted person is no longer visible, the camera angle changes, a face-like photo creates uncertainty, or another face overlaps the trusted area in an unsafe way, SafeCam Pro protects the output using your selected protection mode.

Protection modes include:

When privacy protection is active, SafeCam Pro can display a clear on-screen message such as “Privacy Protection Active” and “Back Shortly,” helping people on the other end understand that the camera output is being intentionally protected.

SafeCam Pro follows a simple rule: when the app is unsure, it protects the camera output instead of exposing it.

SafeCam Pro works with video apps that let you choose a camera, including FaceTime, QuickTime Player, Google Meet, and similar compatible apps.

The app does not record, store, upload, or transmit your camera video. It is designed to protect live camera output during calls, not to save footage.
