metcha is a real-time conversation translator built around how people actually talk.

Share an earbud with the person across from you, pick two languages, and start the conversation. They hear you in theirs; you hear them in yours. The phone stays in your pocket. No held-up screens. No awkward turn-taking.

How it works
• Each person hears the other translated into their language, in their ear, the moment they speak.
• Pick a scenario: Quiet 1-on-1 (shared earbud), Loud Place (push-to-talk for noisy environments), or Phone Speaker (no headphones, hold to talk).
• Pick your two languages and start. metcha handles the rest.

Privacy by default
The default translation runs entirely on Apple's on-device Translation framework, so the simple case costs nothing and never leaves your phone. Nothing is transcribed, stored, or sent over the internet unless you explicitly turn on a cloud feature in Settings.

For travelers and serious users, metcha+ unlocks:
• Premium voices via ElevenLabs: the most natural-sounding TTS available, in each target language's native accent.
• Better Translation: context-aware, conversational translation powered by the latest large language models. Better for idioms, formality, and tone.
• Voice cloning: clone your own voice once, and the person you're talking to hears your translated speech in your own voice.
• Voice recognition: improves transcription accuracy on uncommon names, places, and phrases you use often.
