Beaver Watch is a lightweight VPS monitor for your desktop. It connects over SSH, runs a few read-only commands, and shows the results on clean cards — no status page, no daemon, nothing to install on your server.
**Shared host library with other Beaver Tools apps.**
Turn on **Monitor** for any host in the shared library. Hostname, credentials, and monitor flags sync through the App Group (and optional iCloud) with the rest of the Beaver Tools family.
**What you see on each card**
- Response time (ms)
- Country flag when geo lookup is available (IPv4 hosts)
- OS kernel and distribution
- Compact uptime (e.g. `60d, 09:19h`)
- CPU load %, disk and RAM usage with visual warnings above 80% / 90%
- PHP version when `php` is installed
**While the app is open**
Checks run on a timer (**15, 30, or 60 minutes**) only while Beaver Watch is open — not as a 24/7 background service. Use the toolbar refresh or per-host **↻** for an immediate check.
**Security-minded**
Each check connects, probes, and disconnects. Commands are read-only (`uname`, `uptime`, `df`, `free`, optional `php -v`). Passwords and keys use the same encrypted host storage as Beaver SFTP and SSH.
**Requirements**
Requires network access to your SSH servers.
