EASY ON YOUR MAC WaveBG is built to run all day without you noticing the battery. It automatically pauses — dropping to near-zero CPU — when the audio goes silent, when your display sleeps, when Low Power Mode is on, or when the desktop is fully covered by other windows. Works across multiple displays. PRIVATE BY DESIGN WaveBG collects nothing. No analytics, no telemetry, no account, and no network connection of any kind — there's literally nothing for it to phone home with. The audio it reads is turned into a frequency spectrum in memory and discarded on the very next frame; it's never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. Its App Privacy label is "Data Not Collected." WaveBG uses the system Audio Recording permission to listen to your Mac's audio output. It does not use your microphone and never touches your screen contents.
