EQ Studio lets you adjust the sound of video and audio files on your Mac. Open a file, choose a preset or adjust the eight-band equalizer, preview the result, and export.
Video exports keep the original encoded video track and replace only the audio, so the picture is not re-encoded.
Equalizer
Adjust eight frequency bands from Sub Bass to Brilliance, with a range of ±24 dB per band. Drag points directly on the response curve or use the band sliders.
Choose from ten built-in presets: Original, Bass Boost, Treble Boost, Clear Speech, V-Shaped, Music, Movie, Less Boom, Spoken Word, and Brighten Music. You can also save and reuse your own presets.
Bypass, Mute, and Output level controls make it easy to compare the processed and original sound.
Loudness
Run Audio check to see the current loudness and peak safety before exporting. Results are explained in plain language, with LUFS and dBTP measurements available under Technical details.
Normalize exported loudness for online video, spoken word, or a custom target. Balance loud and quiet moments at Gentle, Balanced, or Strong strength. The same balancing is used during preview and export.
Output protection is always active. It controls unsafe peaks and verifies finished exports against a −1 dBTP ceiling.
Playback and export
Preview processed audio in sync with video playback. Use Repeat for continuous playback, or export only the processed audio when you do not need the video.
Exports can be cancelled while processing. When an export finishes, you can reveal the file in Finder.
Privacy
Media processing stays on your Mac. No account is required, and your files are not uploaded for processing.
Anonymous usage analytics can be turned off in the app. Analytics never include your media, filenames, file paths, feedback text, email address, or custom preset names.
