GroupTab

GroupTab fixes Cmd-Tab when you have too many windows open. Organize your apps into labeled rows (Code, Design, Comms) and switch between them with Option+Tab. No more hunting through a carousel of 20 icons to find your terminal.

It works exactly like the native switcher (Tab to cycle, Shift+Tab to go back, same MRU ordering) but adds the one thing Apple forgot: groups. Hold Option and tap up/down to jump between rows. Your IDE, terminal, and browser stay together. Your Slack, Mail, and Calendar live in another row. Everything else falls into a default group automatically.

Working on something specific? Press Option+Space to pin the apps you're using into a Working Set, a temporary row above your groups. Switch between them, then clear it when you're done. It clears itself if you leave it alone, so it's there when you need it and gone when you don't.
