Structured Markdown Reader is a local macOS app for opening, reading, and editing Markdown files in a cleaner, more structured layout. Open .md and .markdown files from the standard macOS file picker and view front matter, headings, checklists, code blocks, tables, callouts, footnotes, and related local images in a more readable format. Switch between structured reading view, raw Markdown, and live edit mode. Changes can be saved back to the original file directly from the app. Structured Markdown Reader is built around a local-first workflow. No account is required, no cloud backend is required, and remote images referenced by Markdown are hidden by default for privacy.
