Native Tasks for Obsidian

About the app

  A native macOS task manager that reads Markdown checkboxes (- [ ], - [x]) and Tasks-plugin metadata (due dates, scheduled dates,
  recurrence, priorities, custom statuses) directly from .md files in an Obsidian vault. All edits round-trip back to disk atomically
  with mtime conflict detection. No accounts, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs.

  Testing without your own Obsidian vault — bundled demo vault

  The app ships with a sample vault. To enable it:

  1. Launch the app and complete onboarding (any folder of .md files works; sample files are included).
  2. Open Settings (Cmd+,) and select the General tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom. There is a small grey line: Tasks for Obsidian 0.1.0 (1).
  4. Tap that text 7 times. A "Demo" section appears.
  5. Toggle Use bundled demo vault. The app loads sample tasks covering Inbox, Today, per-file lists, recurring tasks, and all
  metadata variants.

  In-app purchase paywall

  Three products unlock the same Pro tier (Monthly $1.99, Yearly $9.99, Lifetime $19.99). To trigger the paywall:

  - Easiest path: Settings, Pro tab, then "See Pro options".
  - Press the global hotkey Ctrl+Option+Cmd+T. The paywall replaces the quick-add panel when not Pro.
  - Click the menu-bar icon. A Pro pitch is shown when locked.
  - In Settings, Vault tab, try to switch vaults (if multiple are detected).

  The free tier remains fully functional for one vault. Pro is a convenience layer (quick-add anywhere, multi-vault, notifications,
  custom hotkey, inline composer shortcuts), not a content gate.

  Permissions requested

  - Vault folder and Obsidian configuration folder access, to read and write .md files.
  - Notifications (Pro, optional), for due-task reminders. Notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device.
  - The only outbound network activity is obsidian:// deep links that the user explicitly invokes.
