Sortail

Sortail is a floating toolbar that lives above Apple Mail. Move, delete, and archive messages, threads, or entire sender histories — fast, with counts and confirmations where they matter.
 
If you sort your inbox by hand, you probably do the same handful of actions hundreds of times a week: archive this newsletter, move that receipt to Finances, delete every old message from a sender you no longer hear from. Sortail reads your mailbox list straight from Mail's local Envelope Index — no slow scripting round-trip just to fetch folders. The full list across all your accounts appears as soon as you open the field, ranked by how often you use each one.
  
Smart Suggestions
Learns from your filing history and pre-selects the right folder as you pick a message. The more you use it, the less you have to think. Suggestions are computed locally — your filing patterns never leave your Mac.
  
Stays Out of the Way
Floats above Mail when you need it, disappears when you switch apps. Just a small menu-bar icon — no Dock entry, no badges, no notifications begging for attention, no interruptions.
  
GMAIL DONE RIGHT
For Gmail-connected accounts, Sortail uses Gmail's API directly. Gmail organizes mail with labels rather than folders, so Sortail's Move and Archive map straight onto Gmail's labels — archived mail leaves your inbox the way it does in Gmail's own web interface, and every action stays in sync across all your devices. Connect once via secure OAuth.

Sortail uses the minimum Gmail scope needed (gmail.modify) and never reads message content — only label changes. OAuth tokens live in macOS Keychain; you can disconnect any account at any time from Settings.
