Copypastik lives in your menu bar and keeps everything you've copied — ready when you need it
Copypastik lives in your menu bar and keeps everything you've copied — ready when you need it.
Press Control + Option + V to open the floating picker. Browse your recent clips, search by content, filter by type, and select what you need. Press Enter to copy it back and return to your work. No interruptions, no windows to manage.
Tagged Snippets — your personal snippet library
Select any clipboard item and press Command + T to tag it. Add one or more comma-separated tags, and the item moves to the Tagged section — safe across restarts, always searchable. Filter by tag with one click, or type #tag in the search bar. Right-click a tag chip to set its color. Your snippets stay organized your way.
Completely private by design
Copypastik is a local app. There is no account, no login, no subscription, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no advertising. Your clipboard data never leaves your Mac.
Regular clipboard history lives in memory only and clears when the app quits. Tagged snippets are stored locally in Application Support — and nowhere else.
Copypastik detects clipboard changes through the standard macOS API and registers its global shortcut through Carbon. It does not monitor keyboard input, use event taps, inspect other apps, or record your screen.
No permission prompt appears at launch. The clipboard history and picker work without any privacy permission.
Automatic Paste — optional convenience
By default, selecting an item copies it to your clipboard and you paste manually with Command + V. If you enable Automatic Paste in Settings, Copypastik posts the standard Command + V shortcut for you after you pick an item.
Automatic Paste requires Core Graphics PostEvent access. Copypastik never triggers a system permission prompt on its own — if access isn't granted yet, an in-app explanation appears with a direct link to System Settings. Choose Not Now, and the app continues working with manual paste. You stay in control.
