When you're done, press and hold anywhere to unlock — a deliberate, can't-do-it-by-accident gesture inspired by the screen-clean mode in modern cars. No need to shut down or sleep your Mac; everything keeps running and you pick up right where you left off. TWO WAYS TO CLEAN • Clean Keyboard — Locks out typing, app-switching (Cmd-Tab), quitting (Cmd-Q), and other shortcuts, so a thorough wipe-down won't trigger anything. • Clean Screen — Fills the display with pure black so every smudge, fingerprint, and dust speck shows up against the dark. PRESS AND HOLD TO UNLOCK A ring fills as you hold (3–15 seconds, your choice), with a gentle tick each second. Let go early and it stays locked. Prefer a key? Hold your chosen unlock key — Esc by default — instead. PRIVATE BY DESIGN KeebKlean collects no data, has no analytics, no account, and never connects to the internet. A note on the App Store version: macOS reserves a few hardware keys (function keys, media keys, Caps Lock) that no sandboxed app may intercept, so those may still react. Everything that matters for a safe wipe-down — typing, shortcuts, app switching — is locked out.
