AutoSnapshot is a lightweight macOS menu bar app for capturing presentation and meeting slides without taking manual screenshots.
Choose a save folder, select a window or screen region, and AutoSnapshot monitors visual changes while you present or attend a meeting. When you stop recording, AutoSnapshot removes duplicate frames and exports the final slide captures as PNG, JPG, or PDF files.
AutoSnapshot is designed for students, researchers, meeting participants, and technical users who need a clean record of shared slides while staying focused on the session.
AutoSnapshot does not require an account, subscription, in-app purchase, or cloud service. Captures are processed locally on your Mac.
On first recording, AutoSnapshot asks you to choose a save folder before exporting any files.
Key capabilities:
- Menu bar workflow with global shortcuts.
- First-run save folder selection.
- Window capture and screen-region capture.
- Pause, resume, and stop capture controls.
- Automatic slide-change detection.
- Duplicate frame removal after recording.
- Export as PNG, JPG, or PDF.
- User-selected export folder with sandbox-safe access.
AutoSnapshot requires macOS Screen Recording permission so it can capture the window or screen region selected by the user.
