The Amsterdam UMC wearable data platform is based on the Sport Data Valley platform and designed to systematically collect wearable data for clinical and academic research. This secure, scalable, and user-friendly platform collects continuous health data (such as heart rate, steps, and sleep) with patient-reported outcomes via integrated questionnaires. In turn, this rich, consented dataset is made available to researchers through integration with the existing data infrastructure to answer specific research questions. By focusing on privacy and clear informed consent management, the platform establishes a durable digital infrastructure that supports future growth.
