ABOUT TAMIL BRAHMI
Tamil Brahmi is one of the oldest known writing systems used to write Tamil. Archaeological evidence, including recent excavations at Keeladi, suggests it may date back to the 6th–8th century BCE. It is the ancestor of the modern Tamil script. Thamizhi implements the Phase 1/2 Tamil Brahmi convention (pre-pulli), the most historically significant period for Tamil Brahmi inscriptions.
