I Was There is a new take on social networking. It offers users event driven posts where they can share experiences with other users, posting pictures, videos, and text based stories about events in their lives. Threads for specific types of experiences allow you to connect with others who were there.

Connect the experience, experience the connection.

Blips are events. Blip threads about shared experiences such as concerts, sporting events, festivals, or any other community occasion. Anyone can create a Blip for any type of event, and anyone can upload their media and narratives in the form of Echoes.

Cairns are memorials.  Cairn threads to connect around the loss of a loved one. Anyone can create a Cairn to honor someone they have lost, or even to remember their pet, and anyone can upload media and narratives to share stories and memories.

Monuments are achievements. Monument threads celebrate accomplishments and wins, from buying a first home to graduation to getting a promotion. These Milestones can either be a community announcement or individually proclaimed.

Landmarks are destinations. Landmark threads revolve around global locations, either by category or specific point on the map. Want to know where Glowing Lagoons exist? Check the thread. Been to a Black Sand Beach? Share to the thread! Or, join or create a thread for any place.

Pebbles are all about you. They are individual experiences not connected to other users except through our natural desire to share. Toss a Pebble and see if it makes a splash!

I Was There is free to download and all users can view, create, and contribute to Blips and Cairns.

I Was There offers an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks creation of Pebbles, Monuments, and Landmarks, plus access to direct messaging.

• I Was There — Monthly: 1 month, auto-renewing
• I Was There — Annual: 12 months, auto-renewing

Prices are shown in your local currency on the in-app Subscription screen and at the time of purchase. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price as the original subscription. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renew in your App Store account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
