Description

Revertory is a focused Mac utility for developers who want a fast, visual way to capture local project milestones and return to them when experiments go wrong

Revertory is a focused Mac utility for developers who want a fast, visual way to capture local project milestones and return to them when experiments go wrong.

It works with any local project folder using Git, not only Xcode projects. Use it with Xcode apps, Swift packages, web projects, scripts, documentation, prototypes, learning projects, and other local Git-based work.

Revertory uses standard local Git commands under the hood. Snapshot creation stages files with git add, records a local commit with git commit, and marks restore points with git tag. Restore uses git restore
and git clean. Revertory does not run git push, pull, fetch, clone, merge, rebase, or any remote sync command.
Revertory works locally inside the selected project folder. It uses Git for snapshot storage and restore points, including commits, annotated tags, status checks, local config, and local refs.

Instead of manually copying folders or digging through Terminal commands, Revertory gives you a clean snapshot workflow built around your local projects.

Create a snapshot before a risky refactor, dependency update, localization change, UI redesign, bug-fix attempt, or major experiment.

What Revertory helps you do:

• Create Git-backed snapshots of local project folders
• Work with existing Git repositories
• Automatically initialize a local Git repository when the selected project does not have one yet
• Restore project files to a previous snapshot
• Name snapshots clearly so important milestones are easy to recognize
• Protect important snapshots from accidental deletion
• Automatically create scheduled snapshots and apply your custom retention policy, so old snapshots are cleaned up according to limits you set
• Search, sort, rename, restore, and delete snapshots from one interface
• Keep Recent Projects ready for quick access
• Run diagnostics for Git, permission, bookmark, and project issues
• Use keyboard shortcuts and menu controls to stay in flow
• Work locally, without sending your project data to a cloud service
• Personalize Revertory with built-in Light and Dark themes plus a custom accent color for your preferred workflow

Revertory is designed for developers who experiment often and want a practical recovery point before making changes.

Use it before:

• Large refactors
• Package or dependency changes
• UI redesigns
• Localization edits
• Bug-fix attempts
• Script changes
• Website or app experiments
• Documentation rewrites
• Anything you may want to undo later

Revertory does not try to replace professional version control. It gives your local development workflow a faster, more visual safety layer, especially when you want quick restore points while building, testing, and experimenting.

Built for every skill level, from experienced developers shipping daily to beginners learning to code. Revertory gives you instant Git restore points, so you can experiment freely and recover quickly when a
change does not go as planned.
