• Real safety scoring. Each ingredient is checked against a curated database. Score is conservative — a perfect 100 is reserved for fully clean, transparent labels.

• Label clarity score. Vague terms like "meat and animal derivatives" lower the clarity score even when safety is fine. You see what the manufacturer is — and isn't — telling you.

• Live recall alerts. We ingest the openFDA pet food recall feed daily. If a product you've scanned gets recalled, you get a push notification within hours.
