Stagepoint turns a markdown file into a calm, beautifully paced reading surface — so you can focus on what you're saying instead of what's coming next.
Drop in a .md file with # headings for slide breaks and your speech as plain paragraphs. Stagepoint reads the structure, splits your text into sentences, and scrolls at your chosen words-per-minute, softly highlighting the line you're on. Press space to pause. Tap a sentence to jump to it. Press an arrow to move slides. That's the whole interaction model.
Built natively for macOS 26 and iPadOS 26 with Liquid Glass throughout — adjustable tint, six themes, transparency that respects what's behind it. On Mac, the window floats above everything else, including Keynote in presentation mode, so you can drive your slides while reading your script.
*How it works*
- Open a markdown file (⌘O on Mac, the folder icon on iPad)
- Press space or tap the play pill to start auto-scroll
- The current sentence is highlighted; the rest fades softly into context
- Tap any sentence to jump to it instantly
- Arrow keys move between slides (and advance Keynote if it's running)
- ? opens settings: reading pace, font, theme, mirror, pre-roll countdown
*Features*
- Auto-scroll at adjustable WPM (60–260)
- Sentence-level highlighting that follows your reading pace
- Liquid Glass UI with six tint themes and adjustable opacity
- Floats above other windows, including Keynote presentations (macOS)
- Mirror mode for hardware teleprompter rigs
- Optional 3-2-1 pre-roll countdown
- Position memory — reopen a script and resume where you left off
- Recent files menu
- Auto-reloads when you edit the markdown in another editor
- Keyboard-first: every action has a shortcut
- Reads files only — never modifies your scripts
*Notes*
Stagepoint is a reader, not an editor. Use your favourite markdown editor to write; Stagepoint to perform. Requires macOS 26 or iPadOS 26.
