You have two files that should match. They don't. MetiRecon tells you exactly where, in seconds, even at a million rows.

Load the before and after file (in the app: PRE and POST), mark which column is the key, hit Compare. You get four buckets: identical, differences, added, deleted. Click into any of them, search by key, filter and see the before and after value of every changed cell side by side.

Real reconciliation work is rarely clean, and that is where most tools give up. Column order changes between systems. Someone exports in Windows-1250. Amounts drift by a cent because of rounding. So in MetiRecon you can map columns by name, override the detected encoding, allow an absolute or percentage tolerance per numeric column, ignore case and whitespace or exclude a column entirely.

It reads CSV, TSV, XLSX, JSON, XML, fixed width files and FIX logs. Results export to Excel, CSV or a PDF report you can attach to a ticket or hand to an auditor. Recurring checks can be saved as configurations and every run lands in the history.

Everything happens on your Mac. There is no server, no upload, no account and no analytics. The comparison engine is native code, which is why a million rows take seconds and why your data never leaves your machine. If you work in a bank, you know why that matters; it is the reason the app is built this way.
