Your plan. Their pandemic. Engineer a deadly strain, plot its evolution and release it into the world. Watch infections spread across the map as your creation breaks into new hosts. PATHOGENEER puts you in control of a fictional pathogen. Shape a branching genome, adapt to new environments and discover which hosts your strain can reach. A promising start can stall at a barrier. The right mutation can open another route. MAKE IT YOURS Choose genes that shape spread, survival, resistance and host jumping. Unlock new modifications through successful infections and build a strain with its own strengths and tradeoffs. CROSS THE HOST BARRIER Begin with plants and unlock insects, birds, land animals and humans. Explore different targets and habitats as your creation finds new ways to spread. CHOOSE YOUR GROUND ZERO Pick a starting location. Climate, habitat and host conditions affect whether your strain gains a foothold or struggles to establish itself. WATCH THE CASCADE Follow infection fronts across the map, switch host layers and zoom in on the action. Make decisions during a run as opportunities and barriers emerge. BUILD YOUR NEXT BREAKTHROUGH Keep memorable strains, carry successful genes into descendants and chase a stronger cascade. Open Threads suggest a next step for your lineage. Share your specimen, a standout spread or the stats from a run you are proud of. Where will your next creation take hold? PATHOGENEER is a fictional ecology strategy game inspired by real-world environments and habitats. Its organisms, mutations and outcomes are designed for entertainment, not real-world pathogen engineering.
