Units Squared makes use of augmented reality to allow you to measure the area of things on the ground.

a pool, a garden, a yard, or anything you want!

It's very easy to use, just hold the screen and walk around to trace the area you want to measure.  Units Squared provides you the perimeter and area in imperial or metric, as well as a live overhead map so you can see what you are measuring in real time.
