BLV FirstSteps

BLV FirstSteps is an educational tool designed to help students with visual impairments develop essential IOS technology skills. Through our curriculum of structured and interactive lessons, students will learn to navigate an iPad using VoiceOver gestures. Additionally, students may also work on reinforcing the accessibility concepts they’ve learned by playing any of our 14 unique minigames. It is through this cycle of educating and reinforcing that we aim to put students with visual impairments on equal footing with their sighted peers, and prepare them to navigate the technologically-driven classrooms of the future.
