Echoes is a place-based audio app. Record a short voice note, or write a quick echo and pin it to where you're standing. The next person who passes by can listen. Echoes fade after a few days. Like a message in a bottle, but for streetcorners. What you can do • Record voice echoes, or post short text ones • Find echoes others left on the map around you • Like, comment on, and share echoes that resonate • @mention people in comments to keep conversations going • See the echoes you've left, and the ones you've liked Why we built it The internet lost its place a long time ago. Twitter is everywhere. Instagram is everywhere. Echoes is somewhere. The voice you record only matters in the spot you record it — the corner, the bench, the bar. We think that's a more honest way to share a moment. Privacy • Echoes are public to anyone in the area — they're not private messages • We use your location only to pin echoes you create and to surface nearby ones • You can delete your account and every echo you've made, from inside the app • We don't sell your data. There are no ads. Echoes is free.
