From the App Store SourceSlabakken is the game where the whole table ends up shouting at once. You may know it as the hat game. Everyone throws three words into the pot. Names of friends, a joke only your group gets, something that happened an hour ago. The app makes the teams, and then the exact same stack of words goes around three times. In the first round you explain with words. The clock is running and you think you have plenty of time. In the second round the same stack comes back, but now you act it out and say nothing. In the third round you get one word per card. Just one. And it works, because by now everyone knows the stack, and that single word is enough to make everyone shout at the same time. Play with one phone that goes around the table. Or play with everyone on their own phone. Someone starts a game, shares the code, and the rest join from their own screens. There is nothing to set up. No cards, no scraps of paper in a hat, no tally marks on a coaster. The app splits you into teams, keeps time and keeps score. Slabakken runs on iPhone and iPad, in English, Dutch and Spanish. You can sign in, but you never have to.
