Title: They only care about your money, not about you! Avoid this airline!

We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 young children) who booked a flight from Boracay to Manila. What was supposed to be a nice family vacation turned into an absolute nightmare because of AirAsia's greed. After completing check-in and boarding, we were stopped for a carry-on baggage weight check. They claimed we were 25 kg over the limit—which is ridiculous because their allowed cabin weight is so small you can barely bring a small backpack. We explained to the staff that we had a connecting flight in Manila with a completely different airline and could not risk checking our bags into the cargo hold. We even offered to pay an extra fee just to keep them with us in the cabin, but they completely refused and blocked us from boarding. Instead, we were forced to stand for 20 minutes in unbearable heat with three young children. We weren't the only ones—it was a total scam. They stopped about 60% of the passengers! People who were just 1 kg over, or people with a single tiny suitcase, were forced to either wear all their clothes in the heat or check their bags. At first, the staff told us to check one bag, then two, then suddenly four! Everyone was forced into a tiny, overheated hallway, ripping their bags open. The staff kept repeating that "it’s protocol and for safety," but that is a complete lie. It is purely a money-grabbing trap to extort passengers at the gate. We paid a lot of money for 5 tickets just to get our family home safely. There is only one way to summarize AirAsia: SHAME ON YOU. All the awards they claim to have won must be completely fake. Do yourself a favor and never fly with them.

  Horrible App

The whole user experience and interface is absolutely terrible. Constant loads and having to re-enter already previously given flight information because their back button returns the user back to the main screen. Non-stop cloud-flare checks that seem to go in loops and never stop. Do you guys not test your app before releasing updates?!
