  Disappointed

Very disappointed with Fahlo. When you purchase one of these bracelets, you are left with the impression that you get to track your animal and follow its journey indefinitely. Instead, their tracking is only guaranteed for six months. When our child’s animal stopped transmitting after that, my 12-year-old daughter contacted Fahlo directly to ask if she could simply be given another animal to track. She was not asking for a free bracelet or another physical product, just another animal to continue the tracking experience she had already purchased. They refused. I then contacted them myself and asked if they would make a one-time exception, and they still refused. Instead, they repeatedly offered discounts on another purchase. I also think customers should understand exactly where their money goes. Fahlo states on its website that $2 from each purchase goes toward supporting the animal, meaning the entire purchase price does not go toward conservation. Fahlo is a for-profit company, and the remainder of the purchase price does not go directly toward the animal. For a company that markets itself around conservation and giving children a connection with wildlife, I expected much better customer service and transparency. Refusing to make even a one-time exception for a 12-year-old who simply wanted another animal to track was incredibly disappointing. I would not purchase another bracelet.

At Fahlo, we partner with nonprofits to support their work protecting wildlife, preserving habitats, and promoting peaceful human-animal coexistence. By pairing thoughtfully-designed products with the ability to track real animals on an interactive map, we’re giving everyone an opportunity to make an impact. Each purchase gives back and reveals your animal’s name, photo, story, and path with fun updates along the way! Since our start in 2018, Fahlo has donated over $5.6 million to conservation partners, which is pretty exciting considering our team is 80% penguins in trench coats. The more opportunities to educate and excite others about saving wildlife, the bigger the difference we make for generations to come.
