Peter Pater is a reverse-Polish-notation stack-based calculator for the Apple Macintosh™, that does specialized calculations used in physics and engineering, particularly including aerospace applications. It also does orbit calculations for two-body problem elliptical orbits. Peter Pater is not for the faint of heart: Unless you need to manipulate complex numbers, vectors, quaternions and Tait-Bryan angles, or you are worried about getting lost in space, you will probably be better off with a simpler calculator. The entries in the Peter Pater stack don't just contain one data item. Each stack entry holds several kinds of data. Buttons on the Peter Pater window allow you to display the different data items, one at a time. The buttons that perform calculations are enabled only when they can work with the data types that are displayed. Every button has a tooltip, so you can hover your graphics cursor over it to get a description of what it does. Peter Pater contains a substantial help file, which will tell you much more about the application and how to use it.
