Code Peek+ adds syntax-aware Quick Look previews for developer files on macOS. Preview source files, Markdown, Jupyter notebooks, and tabular text directly in Finder without opening an editor.
Highlights:
- Syntax-highlighted previews for common source formats including Swift, JavaScript, JSX, TSX, Python, Go, Rust, SQL, TOML, C#, Kotlin, Java, Ruby, PHP, Shell, YAML, JSON, XML, CSS, and more.
- Markdown rendering, Jupyter Notebook text previews, and TSV/TAB table previews.
- Built-in themes including VS Code Dark+, Dracula, Nord, Solarized Dark, Solarized Light, GitHub Dark, GitHub Light, and System Adaptive.
- A fully customizable editor palette for background, text, keywords, strings, comments, functions, types, numbers, links, and preprocessors.
- Reader controls for line numbers, word wrap, and a mini-map for long files.
- A lightweight setup app with sidebar navigation, typography controls, file type toggles, and configurable Finder Quick Look shortcut guidance such as Control + Space.
- Lottie .json animations open in Quick Look with a dedicated preview surface when detected.
Notes:
- .html support is limited and system-dependent. Finder may prefer the built-in macOS HTML Quick Look preview instead of Code Peek+.
- .ts and .txt are intentionally not overridden.
