Description

D1Explorer is a native macOS database explorer for Cloudflare D1 and SQLite

D1Explorer is a native macOS database explorer for Cloudflare D1 and SQLite. Browse tables, run queries, and edit data from a fast interface built in Swift and SwiftUI.

FREE TO DOWNLOAD

Download D1Explorer free and connect unlimited D1 and local SQLite accounts. Browse tables, run SELECT queries, inspect schema, preview BLOB/JSON cells, and import Wrangler projects. No account, no trial timer, no limits on reads.

Unlock D1Explorer Pro with a one-time in-app purchase for every write feature: row inserts, updates, and deletes, inline cell editing, table and column changes, and DML/DDL in the query editor. Pro also unlocks the Recovery Center, the Query Notebook, and Cost & Budget's projections and Advisor. Pay once, no subscription, on every Mac signed into the same Apple ID.

Bought D1Explorer before the free tier? Pro unlocks automatically, with no second payment.

KEY FEATURES

• Connection Doctor — Ask a connection what it can actually do. It checks the token, this database, and the permissions behind editing, exporting, restoring, and cost analytics, then names the one you are missing instead of an HTTP status. Free, and every check is a read.

• Cost & Budget — Know what a database costs before the invoice arrives. Month-to-date spend across the three axes D1 bills on, rows read, rows written, and stored bytes, with the billable part separated from what your plan covers. Free, including the figure each remote database shows in the sidebar. Pro adds a month-end projection and a monthly budget per database. Needs a token with Account Analytics: Read.

• Advisor (Pro) — See which query shapes cost you the most, ranked by rows read, the thing D1 bills. Each carries its run count, average time, estimated cost, and rows returned per row read, with a suggested fix where the numbers support one, such as an index for a scan returning twenty rows out of thousands. The findings copy out as Markdown, ready to hand to a coding agent.

• Recovery Center (Pro) — Back up before you write. D1 "Export Snapshot" runs Cloudflare's official export, a .sql dump preserving BLOBs byte-for-byte, and local SQLite uses VACUUM INTO. Time Travel restore rolls a D1 database back to any point in Cloudflare's retention window, backing up first, with one-click undo.

• iCloud Sync — Connections follow you between Macs. Only what identifies a database travels; tokens sync separately through end-to-end encrypted iCloud Keychain, and local SQLite files never sync. Both are switches in Settings.

• Wrangler Project Import — Point D1Explorer at a Worker repo and it finds every local D1 under .wrangler/state, resolves binding names from wrangler.toml, and adds them in a click.

• SQL Query Editor — Write and execute SQL with syntax highlighting, in tabs you open with Cmd+T. Run with Cmd+Return for instant results.

• Query Notebook (Pro) — Never lose the query that fixed production. Save named snippets and keep a per-connection history of everything you've run, failures included, each showing LOCAL or REMOTE, READ or WRITE, time, and rows read.

• Performance Insights — Execution time, network overhead, and rows read per statement, plus which datacenter answered a D1 query and whether a replica served it.

SECURITY FIRST

Your Cloudflare API tokens live only in the macOS Keychain: encrypted by the OS, never in plain text, never sent to third parties. D1Explorer talks straight to Cloudflare's API, with no intermediary servers. Local SQLite files use security-scoped bookmarks under the App Sandbox.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

D1Explorer collects no analytics, no telemetry, and no user data of its own. Everything happens on your Mac. Cost & Budget and the Advisor read your usage from Cloudflare with your own token and send it nowhere else; those suggestions are local arithmetic, not a language model. The Query Notebook records SQL as you typed it, so it can contain literals from your data: clear a connection's history or turn recording off in Settings.
