SaneFocus is a quiet Mac scratchpad for thoughts that need a place, not a system. Open it from the menu bar or with a global shortcut, catch what is on your mind, then close it when you are ready to continue. SaneFocus asks macOS to reactivate the app you were using, so a quick note does not have to become a detour. Five persistent note slots keep separate thoughts close without folders, a graph, an inbox, or a workspace to maintain. Short tab labels update from what you write. Pin the window when a note needs to stay visible, move it to either side of the active screen, or switch notes and edit from the keyboard. SaneFocus includes: - lightweight Markdown styling, links, checklists, and task-state shortcuts - keyboard shortcuts for focus, pinning, side switching, tabs, and editing - export all five notes, recover an available previous local snapshot, and delete notes safely while keeping preferences - adjustable text size and launch at login Your notes stay local on your Mac. No account is required. SaneFocus does not upload your notes or analytics, and focus return does not require Accessibility permission. All features are currently free. No trial or purchase is required. Previous purchasers do not need to take any action.
