Markdarion - is a lightweight native Markdown editor for macOS. It is built for writing notes, documentation, article drafts, instructions, checklists, and technical .md files without unnecessary complexity. Buy it once and use it as much as you want, for as long as you want. There is no monthly subscription, no document limit, and no artificial lock on the core writing features, and never be! Write on the left. Preview on the right. No mode switching, no cloud requirement, no distractions. What Markdarion can do - Open and save .md, .markdown, and plain text files. - Show a live Markdown preview while you write. - Render headings, lists, links, bold text, italic text, blockquotes, and code blocks. - Wrap long lines in the preview so you do not need horizontal scrolling. - Open preview links in your default browser. - Export documents to HTML or PDF. - Show word and character counts. Work natively on macOS using ordinary local files. Built to grow Markdarion starts as a simple, fast Markdown editor, but it will continue to improve. Markdown support Markdarion uses a Markdown parser based on CommonMark and GitHub Flavored Markdown. That makes documents predictable and compatible with common tools used for README files, project documentation, technical notes, and repository workflows. The app works with plain UTF-8 text files. You can write in English, Polish, or any language supported by UTF-8, include code snippets, maintain project documentation, and move your files between editors without locking them into a custom format.
