NextNotes is a fast, native notes app for your Nextcloud. Your notes live on your own server, sync through the official Nextcloud Notes API, and are always stored as plain Markdown files you can read anywhere. A NATIVE MAC EDITOR • Rich text-style editing on top of plain Markdown — headings, bold, italics, code, quotes • Checklists you can tick off, bulleted and numbered lists, and real tables • A Markdown source mode and a rendered preview, one click apart • Full menu-bar and keyboard-shortcut support, Apple Notes-style (⇧⌘T titles, ⇧⌘L checklists, ⌘N, ⌘F and friends) BUILT FOR NEXTCLOUD • Signs in with Nextcloud Login Flow v2 — your password stays on your server, the app only ever holds a revocable app token • Syncs with the same Notes app you use on the web and on other devices • Categories, favorites, and sort options that mirror the web app • Share a note as a public Nextcloud link straight from the toolbar • Adopts your server's theme color and instance name YOURS, EVEN OFFLINE • Offline-first: read, write, and organize with no connection; changes sync when you're back • Conflict-safe: if a note changed in both places you choose which version wins — nothing is silently overwritten • Import from Apple Notes or Markdown files; export everything as Markdown folders at any time • No accounts, no tracking, no analytics — the app talks to your server and nowhere else NextNotes requires a Nextcloud server (25 or later recommended) with the Notes app enabled.
