Casemate: Practice

Casemate is a voice-first practice tool for medical, PA, and NP students who want real reps at taking a history. You pick a chief complaint, tap Start, and talk to a patient. The patient talks back. When you finish, an OSCE-style rubric — informed by the published consensus frameworks for clinical communication (Kalamazoo, Calgary-Cambridge, Four Habits) — grades you on what you asked, what you missed, and how you communicated, with quotes from your own transcript to back up every point.

- 150 cases across 30 chief complaints (chest pain, abdominal pain, headache, shortness of breath, joint pain, dizziness, and more). Each complaint ships five variants spanning beginner, intermediate, and advanced difficulty.
- Voice-first encounters. No typing — you talk the way you would in clerkship.
- A four-dimension rubric (history, clinical reasoning, communication, patient safety) with every criterion tagged by framework lineage — Kalamazoo, Calgary-Cambridge, Four Habits, or ICE — so you can trace what you're being graded against. Overall score weighs patient safety double.
- Cited feedback. Every criterion points at a timestamp and a direct quote from your transcript.
- History and trend tracking so you can see your score curve over time.
- "Study this" links at the end of every encounter to the primary-source reference you likely need.

Built for trainees, not patients. Every patient you meet is AI-generated. Nothing in this app is medical advice, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for supervised training. We confirm this at onboarding and reinforce it on every report. Age 17 or older; trainees only.

Your privacy

- Anonymous by default — no login required.
- No voice recordings are stored. Audio is transcribed in real time and the audio itself is discarded.
- You can request deletion of your server-side transcripts at any time.

Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial with full access — no payment info required. After the trial, Casemate Pro is $9.99/month or $89.99/year (about $7.50/month). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your App Store account settings.
