About

From the App Store Source
The Global String helps you localize code projects quickly, privately, and with less cleanup work. Import .xcstrings or .strings files, scan your project for localizable text, translate into multiple languages on device, review the results, and save changes back to your string catalog. The app is built for developers who want a faster localization workflow without sending source text to a cloud service. Features: Scan code projects for localizable strings Import and edit .xcstrings and .strings files Translate into multiple languages on device Preserve existing string catalog structure when saving Export translations as .strings files or CSV Review missing translations and quality issues Search, replace, rename keys, and clean up catalogs Works offline once required language models are installed Designed for real code workflows: The Global String is built to work with Apple string catalogs more safely. Simple string entries can be translated directly in the app, while richer catalog structures like plurals and variations are preserved instead of being flattened. Private by design: Translations use Apple’s on-device language models. Your source text stays on your Mac. Requirements: macOS 15 or later for translation features code string catalogs (.xcstrings) and legacy .strings files supported Apple language models may need to be downloaded in System Settings before translation
