From the App Store SourceVision Sudoku turns the puzzle in your newspaper or puzzle book into one you can solve on your phone — and, when you get stuck, explains the next move instead of just giving you the answer. POINT AND SCAN Photograph a sudoku from a book, a newspaper, or a screen. The grid is found automatically, even from an angle, and the digits are read for you. If the grid isn't picked up correctly, you can set the four corners by hand and try again. Every number is editable, so a misread is a tap to fix. GET UNSTUCK, NOT SPOON-FED Ask for a hint and you get the technique by name — Hidden Single, Naked Pair, X-Wing, XY-Chain — the cell it applies to, and the reasoning colour-coded on the grid: the move, the cells that force it, and the house it works in. Apply one move, or keep tapping to walk the whole puzzle a step at a time. BUILT FOR REAL SOLVING - Pencil marks for every remaining candidate - Bivalue highlighting for the two-candidate cells that seed pairs, wings and chains - A difficulty rating for every puzzle you scan - Progress tracking, so you can pick a puzzle up later SAMURAI TOO Five overlapping 9x9 grids, 369 cells, fully supported — scanning, hints and pencil marks all work exactly the same. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your photos are processed entirely on your device and never uploaded. Saved puzzles stay on your phone. Usage analytics are opt-in, and you can turn them off any time in Settings. Note: Vision Sudoku solves puzzles you already have. It doesn't generate new ones — bring a puzzle book, a newspaper, or any printed grid.
